David Nethaway – Founder | HEALTHCARE DELIVERY
David is co-founder of Naya Advisory Services Inc., a privately held executive management advisory services and consulting firm operating practices in a variety of industries and disciplines from enterprise architecture, and program management practice development to healthcare, insurance services, and technology innovation. With over 20 years of experience in health care, life sciences, and insurance industries, David has demonstrated experience at leading global strategy firms including Deloitte, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Oliver Wyman. He holds an MBA in Health Care Management and has a track record of delivering transformational projects and strategic business development for clients across the public and private sectors.
At Naya Advisory, our focus is on providing comprehensive healthcare delivery solutions to payers and providers. As an accomplished leader in the industry, David brings years of experience in bringing advanced healthcare technology, products, services, and business solutions to those who need it the most. Our team is dedicated to maximizing revenue opportunities while effectively managing risk, ensuring that our clients see real value through improved health care delivery, quality, and performance.
In his spare time, David and his wife, Yvonne, like to spend time with their two sons working in the orchards on their family farm.

Steve Brown is an enterprise transformation and healthcare operations executive serving as Senior Advisor to Naya Advisory. He brings executive operating credibility across Fortune-scale enterprises and deep healthcare domain expertise — a combination rarely found in a single practitioner.
Steve is known for translating healthcare strategy into executable operating models — aligning governance, performance management, and AI-enabled capabilities to deliver measurable quality, financial, and operational outcomes. His work spans Medicare Advantage quality governance and Stars performance improvement, risk adjustment accuracy, payer operating model modernization, and population health analytics. He has developed proprietary intellectual property in healthcare quality governance and performance optimization — an integrated framework that translates clinical and operational data into executable revenue and quality improvement strategies for health plans.
Steve's career spans Salesforce, NTT DATA, and Cigna Healthcare. At Salesforce, he served as Enterprise Transformation Lead, driving AI-enabled operating model modernization across a global enterprise ecosystem. At NTT DATA, he led a global healthcare solutions division serving multiple payers and providers across delivery, product, and transformation functions. At Cigna (Fortune 15), he stood up an enterprise population health platform, modernized specialty pharmacy and PBM operations, and helped integrate major business units to improve quality, regulatory readiness, and affordability across millions of members.
Steve holds a Master's in Business & Data Analytics from the University of Connecticut and credentials including PMP, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and Prosci Change Management Practitioner. Known for uniting vision and execution, he brings a collaborative, outcomes-driven approach that empowers organizations to achieve lasting impact.
TONY VETTRAINO M.D. - SENIOR CLINICAL ADVISOR
Dr. Tony Vettraino is a physician executive and healthcare leader with more than four decades of experience spanning family medicine, geriatrics, urgent care, medical education, clinical leadership, healthcare informatics, and health technology. Board certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, he brings a practicing physician’s perspective to the intersection of healthcare delivery, technology, clinical workflow, and patient care.
Dr. Vettraino earned his Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at Henry Ford Providence Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. He began his career in private practice in Southfield, Michigan. His longstanding interest in caring for older adults led him to pursue additional board certification in Geriatric Medicine, which he maintained for 30 years.
A significant portion of Dr. Vettraino’s career has been devoted to educating and mentoring the next generation of physicians. He served for 15 years as Family Medicine Residency Program Director at North Oakland Medical Centers in Pontiac, Michigan, following two years as Associate Residency Director. He subsequently served as Associate Residency Director at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Livingston and as Family Medicine Residency Program Director at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia. He has also held academic appointments as Clinical Associate Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and the University of Toledo.
Dr. Vettraino has extensive experience in developing and implementing new healthcare services. He played a key role in designing and establishing an urgent care center for St. Mary Hospital and served as its Medical Director, overseeing physicians and monitoring the quality and delivery of patient care.
His career increasingly evolved toward the intersection of medicine and technology. As Physician Consultant at CareTech Solutions and Chief Medical Officer at Cadensoft, he provided clinical leadership and a practicing physician’s perspective to healthcare technology implementations and solutions. As Associate Director of Informatics for St. Joe’s Medical Group, he played a leadership role in the rollout and implementation of Epic electronic medical records across the Trinity Health System in Southeast Michigan. His responsibilities included workflow design, physician and staff training, implementation support, and ongoing optimization.
Throughout his career, Dr. Vettraino has held leadership roles in hospital medical administration, clinical quality improvement, utilization review, medical ethics, and information technology strategy. He is also a published author in Family Medicine.
Today, Dr. Vettraino continues to focus on improving healthcare by bringing together clinical experience, physician workflow, healthcare data, and technology. His unique perspective—developed through decades of practicing medicine, educating physicians, leading healthcare organizations, and implementing health information technology—allows him to evaluate healthcare innovation not simply from a technology perspective, but from the perspective of the physicians and patients who ultimately depend upon it.
Outside of medicine and healthcare technology, Dr. Vettraino enjoys tackling home improvement projects and playing pickleball.
MILAN POPOVICH - SENIOR ADVISOR | HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGY STRATEGY
Milan brings nearly 40 years of experience at the intersection of healthcare and information technology, spanning health plan executive management, quality oversight, and the integration technology that connects clinical systems to one another. He began in executive management for commercial and Medicaid HMOs, leading sales, marketing, and network development for the health plan that became OmniCare Health Plan — growing enrollment from 39,000 to 112,000 members, expanding the network from 17 to 49 hospitals and from 350 to more than 2,200 contracted physicians, and increasing revenue from $41 million to $168 million.
As an entrepreneur and executive, Milan founded Managed Care Consultants, a Medicaid marketing, sales, and support company serving health plans across Michigan, and Medical Site Reviewers, which consolidated NCQA, JCAHO, and URAC provider office reviews statewide across 28 managed care plans — cutting HMO review costs by more than 75 percent while substantially increasing the quantity and quality of the review data. He later directed a 48-member healthcare market research division serving Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, and other national payers.
Milan's technology work has centered on healthcare's interoperability problem. He established a Surescripts-certified e-prescribing tool integrated with 28 EMR vendors, brought an economical iris biometric identification system to patient identification across a wide array of EMR platforms, and built a mobile diabetic retinopathy service that helped payers close one of the most difficult HEDIS and Star quality gaps to fulfill. He has secured and led large IT programs with healthcare payers across the country, most recently as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Cadensoft, where the focus was integrating with the diverse EMR/EHR platforms healthcare organizations depend on every day.
Milan holds a certificate in Managed Care from The Wharton School and studied biochemistry at Oakland University.
Dennis Nash - SENIOR ADVISOR | PATIENT ADVOCATE, AND USER-CENTRIC SOLUTIONS ENGINEER
Dennis has led high-growth teams at IBM, Oracle, E&Y Consulting, and several successful new technology startups, including helping Telxon and Proforma support growth that generated sizable business exits. His business development experience helped rapidly get new products commercialized and ramped up sales to millions to hundreds of millions $ per year. Dennis has been instrumental in getting executives, finance, marketing, sales, operations, service, and engineering/development aligned to engage targeted customers to deliver high value that obtains high growth and shareholder value. He has also managed two successful business restructuring projects and wind-down. His quality systems background blended with feedback from hundreds of mental health, medical, and bio-systems experts plus patient health advocates identified challenges that brought the need for N-of-1 science to the forefront.
He is a Mechanical Engineer with a minor in business from MIT that helps teams succeed by delivering world-class solutions to previously big unmet needs and leveraging breakthrough technologies with effective strategic intellectual property protection.
Matt Drew - SENIOR ADVISOR | HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGY
Matt is an accomplished entrepreneur and operator with over 15+ years of experience building B2B and B2C organizations. Matt is a thought leader in the digital health and chronic disease management space helping develop, implement, and scale different healthcare technologies such as Chronic Disease Management Programs & Preventative Care, EHR/EMRs, Telehealth Solutions, and Medical Devices for Health Systems, ACO’s and Home Health Agencies. Additionally, Matt Co-Founded Nexxus Consulting, a Digital Health, Fintech, and Supply Chain Product and Procurement Consultancy Organization. Matt was the Operations Lead for the VA Health Connect rollout nationwide that provided access to the VA's new digital solution with over 7,000+ users and serviced the 9mil+ veterans around the world. Matt has overseen, built, and deployed healthcare solutions for companies including the Veterans Affairs (VA), Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), HP (HPQ), KE International, Rush University, University of Illinois Chicago, and others.
In his free time, Matt enjoys the outdoors and spending summers in Three Rivers, MI waterskiing and watching his beloved Michigan State and Chicago sports teams.

With eight patents awarded for innovative healthcare technology, he possesses a strong track record of translating ideas into tangible results.
Furthermore, his experience extends beyond strategy and product development. As a Senior Fellow at Columbia University's HITLAB, he mentors other businesses in healthcare IT innovation. Additionally, he has regularly contributed thought leadership through articles in Forbes, presented on many occasions before the Capitol Hill Steering Committee on Telehealth, and served as a member of HIMSS Public Policy Committee.
Darla Bishop, DRPH, MPH, SENIOR ADVISOR | HEALTH CARE FINANCIAL SERVICES
Darla Bishop is a managed care leader focused on improving the health and well-being of communities. Dr. Bishop has 15 years of verifiable success in shaping equity in health outcomes through data-driven programs while finding ways to lower the total cost of healthcare.
Dr. Bishop has demonstrated her commitment to improving the public's health through the exploration of Social Determinants of Health, health policy research, and diverse experiences working with elected officials on Capitol Hill, private healthcare providers, research centers, and institutions of higher education. As a public health researcher, Dr. Bishop has led multiple studies from grant submission to wrap-up/dissemination, trained and supervised health educators and other research staff, and managed communication between project staff and key stakeholders. Research interests include health policy, Medicaid payment innovation, managed care, cultural competence education, community health centers, chronic disease prevention and management, and Cancer care & survivorship.
Darla earned her DrPH in Health Policy from George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and Bachelor's Degrees in Biopsychology, Linguistics, and Spanish from the University of Michigan.
